General Manager
Job brief
We are looking for a General Manager to oversee all staff and operations of the business.
General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise.
Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations
Design strategy and set goals for growth
Maintains payroll spending and optimize sales
Enforce policies and processes
Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally; providing creative and engaging initiative programs
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
Prepare regular reports for upper management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations through trainings and onsite demonstrations
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. profit decline, employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)
Payroll bi-weekly input and submission
Scheduling weekly and communicating to staff
Ensuring communication is accurate across the board with staff and customers as well as internet and advertising materials
Oversight of ticket counter managers, marketing roles and staff, ensuring duties are being met and holding them accountable through disciplinary action
Plus all other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Legally authorized to work in the United States.
Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier.
Proven leadership and motivational abilities, time management and organizational skills, training, coaching, and counseling; Retail management experience encouraged.
Average computer and tablet skills; able to navigate within the sales management software comfortably.
Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions. Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts and evaluate sales and profit performance.
Must have at least 1 year of management experience. Ideally, candidate has worked in a leadership role at Wonder World Cave. If hired outside of the organization, must be willing to train as a Tour Guide during the on-boarding period.

Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to ensure proper coverage of the Park; must be available during Spring Break and other major holidays: 4th of July, Memorial Weekend, Labor Day Weekend.
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Constantly communicates with customers and team members.
Ability to troubleshoot park equipment such as tractors and elevator.
Continuously stand and walk the park grounds for extended periods of time.

Compensation
Competitive Pay - Salary will be based on a 30 OR 40 hour a week work schedule. Full-time schedule will begin on March 1, 2023. Details can be discussed in the interview process.
